Crop yield estimate
Bushels or bales, times a price, minus cost.
Result
Enter acres, what you expect each acre to yield, and a price.
How this works
Total units are acres times yield per acre. Gross revenue is that total times the price. Cost is acres times cost per acre. Net is gross minus cost. The unit name is only a label so the sentence reads “bushels” or “bales.” Nothing here is a forecast of weather or a market.
An example
40 acres at 180 bushels an acre is 7,200 bushels. At $5.50 a bushel the gross is $39,600. At $420 an acre of cost, the net is $22,800.
