Building fund goal

What is left, and what each month needs to cover.

Enter the goal and what is already in the fund.

How this works

Remaining is the goal minus what is already raised. At the current monthly pace, months left is that remainder divided by the monthly gift, rounded up. There is no interest. If you type a deadline, the page divides the remainder by those months to get the monthly total you would need, and, if you typed a household count, the average gift per household.

It is a planning number for a conversation. It is not a pledge card and not advice about what a household should give.

An example

A $250,000 roof and hall project, $40,000 already given, $1,800 a month from 80 households, hoping to finish in 60 months. At today’s pace that is 117 months. To finish in 60 months the fund needs $3,500 a month, about $43.75 per household.
